✨ No one will care about your goals and aspirations as much as YOU will ✨
As a mother, I constantly struggle with keeping my kids on the right track 🎯. Surprise, surprise… not all of my children love school! 📚 Our conversations often teeter between, “I know you don’t love school, but it’s important to do your best in everything you do,” to “GET IT DONE NOW—I DON’T CARE IF YOU LIKE IT!” 😤
At the end of the day, I feel the weight of setting my kids up for success. And I’m not just talking about financial security 💸 (though, that would be nice!). I’m talking about setting them up to achieve any definition of success they want—sometimes that means having them do things they don’t want to do. Because once they leave the nest 🦅, my influence isn’t as strong. Hopefully, by then, I’ve done enough to instill the discipline they need to chase their dreams 🏃♀️💨.
As adults, our lives are in our hands 🙌. This can be terrifying for some 😱 and reassuring for others 😌. No matter where you fall on that spectrum, the decision is yours. Take your life, your dreams, and your goals—and OWN the crap out of them 💥💪.
Here are 3 ways to start owning your life:
-
Find out what you want 🎯: Stop grasping at straws! Take the time to figure out what you truly want in life. What do you want your life to feel like and look like in 5 years? In 10 years? 🌱
-
Cultivate joy for yourself 🌟: Let’s be real—money can make certain things easier, but it doesn’t guarantee happiness. Somewhere along the line, we decided that the more stuff we accumulate, the happier we’d be. But that’s not the truth. True joy comes from within, not from external things. 🧘♀️✨
-
Create discipline & structure 📅: Life is messy—we all know it! But the truth is, if we wait for the “perfect” time to start or for our circumstances to change, we’ll be waiting forever. You have to make time and build discipline to go after what you want. No excuses 🚫. Set up a routine, stick to it, and watch your dreams come to life—one step at a time. Remember, progress beats perfection! 👊🔥
